Bikini - Mengacu pada Ramalan Jodoh, banyak artis yang masih jomblo sedang meminta dan berharap mendapatkan jodoh pada tahun macan ini.Maksud hati memeluk gunung, apa daya tangan tak sampai. Pepatah itu tepat melukiskan keinginan Nuri Maulida untuk menikah. Pengen menikah, tapi jodoh belum ada.

“Doain aja deh secepatnya dapet jodoh. Udah pengen nikah nih,” canda Nuri saat dijumpai di Omah Pawon, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, baru-baru ini.

Bintang sinetron Cinta Fitri itu siap bangkit dari keterpurukan setelah gagal menikah dengan tunanggannya, Ferry Setiawan. Nuri pun siap menyusul teman-temannya naik pelaminan.

“Mencari pasangan memang sulit. Tapi kalau dapat, saya mau cepet menikah,” beber cewek kelahiran Bandung, 22 November 1985 itu.

Seharusnya, Nuri akan melepas masa lajangnya bersama Ferry Setiawan, tahun ini. Namun hubungan mereka kandas di tengah jalan.

“Mungkin belum jodoh. Sebab, yang namanya pernikahan juga memang harus sudah dipikirin matang-matang dan serius,” ungkapnya.

Soal kriteria pasangan, Nuri tak mencari yang muluk-muluk. Siapapun jodoh yang diberikan Tuhan, akan diterimanya dengan ikhlas. “Siapa aja deh, yang penting cepet dapet,” pungkasnya.

Pidato Kita

Bikini - Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono akan memberikan pidato menanggapi kerusuhan yang terjadi di Koja, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara. Pidato SBY akan dilakukan pada pukul 23.00.

"Pidato ini khusus menanggapi situasi Tanjung Priok," kata Juru Bicara Presiden Julian Aldrin Pasha di Kantor Presiden, Rabu malam, 14 April 2010.

SBY akan didampingi Menteri Sekretaris Negara Sudi Silalahi dan Menteri Sekretaris Kabinet Dipo Alam. Julian juga menceritakan, SBY telah mendapat laporan dari Kapolri.

Presiden Islandia, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, berencana mengunjungi Indonesia di akhir April ini. Selain menemui para pejabat tinggi Indonesia, Grimsson juga akan berpidato dalam Kongres Geotermal se-Dunia di Bali.

Rencana itu diumumkan setelah Duta Besar (Dubes) Esti Andayani usai memperkenalkan diri kepada Grimsson sebagai perwakilan baru Indonesia untuk Islandia. Andayani juga merupakan Dubes baru Indonesia untuk Norwegia dan pekan lalu telah memperkenalkan diri dengan pejabat tinggi setempat.

"Presiden Islandia dalam audiensi menyatakan rencana kunjungannya ke Bali, Indonesia, pada tanggal 25-29 April 2010 dalam rangka menyampaikan keynote speech [pidato] pada World Geothermal Congress, 26 April 2010," demikian keterangan pers Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Norwegia merangkap Islandia, Kamis 22 April 2010.

Perkenalan dan penyerahan surat kepercayaan oleh Dubes Andayani kepada Presiden Grimsson itu berlangsung Selasa, 20 April 2010, di Bessastaðir, Kediaman Kepresidenan Islandia.

Abu vulkanik dari letusan gunung di Islandia telah mengganggu jadwal penerbangan di Eropa dan banyak negara selama berhari-hari. Namun, situasi itu tidak menghalangi Duta Besar (Dubes) Indonesia, Esti Andayani, untuk bertemu dengan Presiden Islandia.

Kepada Andayani, Grimsson menyatakan bahwa Islandia menempatkan Indonesia sebagai mitra penting dalam pengedepanan kemajuan pengembangan energi panas bumi. Oleh karena itulah dia ingin mengunjungi Indonesia.

Grímsson menyatakan komitmen Islandia untuk menjamin realisasi kerjasama pemanfaatan panas bumi dan perikanan dengan Indonesia, yang sempat terhenti disebabkan kondisi perekonomian negaranya yang menurun akibat krisis keuangan 2008.

Andayani pun menyampaikan harapan akan adanya peningkatan kerja sama bilateral di berbagai bidang. Diantaranya, kerjasama di bidang energi panas bumi (geothermal) dan perikanan, dengan meningkatkan partisipasi ahli perikanan dan ahli pertambangan Indonesia untuk belajar di United Nations University Fishery Training Program dan United Nations University Geothermal Training Program.

Shortlist for 100K Euro

Cuando Me Enamoro - The story of a reverend and his two adult children, a novel exploring the friendship between the concierge of a swanky Paris apartment building and a suicidal young girl, and a paean to New York City and cricket are among the eight books nominated for the 2010 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, one of the world's most lucrative fiction prizes.

The shortlist, which was announced yesterday in Dublin, features The Twin, by Dutch author Gerbrand Bakker; The Elegance of the Hedgehog by France's Muriel Barbery; In Zodiac Light by Britain's Robert Edric; Settlement, by the German author Christoph Hein; The Believers, by Britain's Zoe Heller; Netherland, by Irish author Joseph O'Neill; God's Own Country, by Ross Raisin of Britain; and Home, by the American novelist Marilynne Robinson.

Despite the fact that 13 Canadians were named to the longlist of 156 books back in November, not a single Canadian author made the shortlist. Canadians have won the award twice before: Rawi Hage won in 2008 for De Niro's Game, while Alistair MacLeod won in 2001 for No Great Mischief.

The €100,000 ($135,000) International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award is awarded annually to a novel written in any language (as long as it has been translated into English). The longlist is comprises of books nominated by library systems around the world.

The shortlist was selected by a panel of five judges: the British author Anne Fine; Russian writer Anatoly (Anthony) Kudryavitsky; professor Eve Patten of Trinity College, Dublin; Djiboutian writer Abdourahman Waberi, who currently teaches African literature in California; and the South African writer Zoe Wicomb. The jury is chaired by the American novelist (and former judge) Eugene R. Sullivan.

The winner will be announced on June 17. Last year's prize went to American author Michael Thomas for Man Gone Down.

Telenovelas - Striker Fabrizio Miccoli is worthy of a place in Italy’s World Cup squad, according to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.

If you live in Canada and you have been looking for a new handset to upgrade to, you may want to check out the Nokia N97 Mini, apparently Rogers Wireless will begin offering the handset sometime in May.

An exact release date has not been confirmed yet, however a recent article posted on MobileSyrup suggests that it will land in either the first or second week of May.

Just to recap the Nokia N97 Mini features a 3.2 inch display which supports a resolution of 640×360, a 5 megapixel camera, and a full QWERTY side sliding keyboard, its downfall to many is that it runs a very unintuitive and slow Symbian OS (full specs here).

Clash Of The Titans No 1 in US

Triunfo Del Amor - Sam Worthington's Clash Of The Titans has topped the US box office. The remake of the 1981 film, set in the world of ancient Greek gods, debuted at No 1 with 61.2 million dollars. Released by Warner Bros, the movie features Avatar star Sam as demigod hero Perseus and Liam Neeson as his dad, Zeus, king of the Olympian deities.

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too? opened at No 2 with 29.2 million.

The previous weekend's top movie, DreamWorks Animation's Viking adventure How To Train Your Dragon, ran a close third with 29 million dollars.

Miley Cyrus' teen drama The Last Song premiered at No 4 with 16 million. The Disney release raised its total to 25.6 million dollars since opening on Wednesday.

Written by best-selling author Nicholas Sparks specifically for the Hannah Montana star, the movie casts Miley as a sullen teen spending the summer with her estranged father.

With 8.2 million, Disney's Alice In Wonderland - starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter - came in fifth for the weekend, raising its domestic total to 309.8 million and its worldwide haul to 722 million dollars.

South Africa urges calm after Terre'blanche murder

Camille Grammer - South African President Jacob Zuma called for calm on Sunday after the killing of white far-right leader Eugene Terre'blanche in a suspected pay dispute with black workers fanned fears of racial strains. Police detained two farm workers and said they were investigating the quarrel they had with Terre'blanche, but his Afrikaner Resistance Movement (AWB) says he was battered and hacked to death on Saturday in an attack with political overtones.

Zuma, who has made it a priority to court white Afrikaners, called it a "terrible deed" and urged South Africans "not to allow agent provocateurs to take advantage of this situation by inciting or fuelling racial hatred."


Terre'blanche, 69, was the voice of hardline opposition to the end of apartheid in the early 1990s although his party has since played a marginal role and does not have a big following among whites, who make up 10 percent of South Africans.

The AWB urged restraint while the funeral is prepared and before the party decides next steps. At Ventersdorp, in rolling farmland over 100 km (60 miles) west of Johannesburg, party followers in paramilitary khaki laid flowers at the gate of Terre'blanche's farm.

"We will decide upon the action we are going to take to avenge Mr Terre'blanche's death," said spokesman Andre Visagie.

Terre'blanche could be buried either on Thursday or Friday this week, Visagie said.

Concerns over increasing racial polarisation have been thrown into the open by a row over the singing of an apartheid-era song with the lyrics "Kill the Boer" by the youth leader of the ruling African National Congress.

The ANC has defended the song as no more than a way to remember a history of oppression, but it has worried minority groups and particularly white farmers, some 3,000 of whom have been killed since the end of apartheid.

STRAIN
"The killing of Terre'blanche will symbolically be seen as a strain on these relationships," said analyst Nic Borain of HSBC Securities. "But Terre'blanche is an old criminal and I don't think people would come to his defence or his killing (would) somehow invigorate white people's opposition to the new South Africa."


Terre'blanche's party did not hesitate to link the murder to the song. Terre'blanche had always described himself as a Boer. "That's what this is all about," Visagie said.

The ANC said the killing was a matter to be handled by the police rather than being a political issue and it should not be used to polarise the nation.

"We make this call to all South Africans to refrain from making speculative pronouncements on Terre'blanche's murder," Jackson Mthembu, ANC spokesman said.

Terre'blanche had lived in relative obscurity since his release from prison in 2004 after serving a jail sentence for beating a black man nearly to death.

The party -- whose flag resembles a Nazi swastika -- was revived two years ago. He was trying to build a united front among far-right parties to fight for a white homeland, but had gained little support.

Terre'blanche was a powerful orator in his Afrikaans language and was a distinctive, heavily built figure, with a thick grey beard and dressed in khaki. He often attended rallies on horseback during his fight to stop majority rule.

Police said the suspected killers were aged 16 and 21. Both had worked for Terre'blanche and are due to appear in court on Tuesday.

"It seems there was a dispute and these guys were arrested ... The police are investigating and the public will be kept abreast," Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa told a news conference. "Somebody is dead, can we keep it at that."

Contoh Pidato Menteri Pembangunan Daerah tertinggal sangat apresiasi atas pelaksanaan seminar nasional dengan tema “Membangun Kemandirian Kemasyarakatan Nias Barat” yang diprakarsai Ketua Umum DPP Gema Nias Barat beserta jajarannya. Hal itu disebabkan Kementerian PDT telah menyerahkan kepada daerah untuk menciptakan kemandirian masyarakat di pedesaan yang tidak terlepas dari peran serta seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk bersama-sama mempercepat ke luar dari krisis kemiskinan.

Hal itu dikemukakan Drs Kana Buchorie MSi mewakili Menteri dalam pidatonya, sekaligus pembacaan makalah Kementerian PDT pada seminar nasional membangun Kemandirian Masyarakat Nias Barat. Menteri PDT mengharapkan, seminar sehari itu dapat merumuskan hal-hal yang dibutuhkan untuk mempercepat pembangunan Nias Barat keluar dari kemiskinan karena sampai saat ini 183 kabupaten di Indonesia termasuk kabupaten tertinggal dan Kabupaten Nias Barat masuk dalam urutan ke-13. Mudah-mudahan angka 13 kabupaten tertinggal di Indonesia, Nias Barat mendapat prioritas penuntasan kemiskinan.

Kami berharap hasil rumusan seminar dalam waktu yang tidak terlalu lama Pemkab Nias Barat menyampaikan ke Menteri PDT melalui Deputi IV untuk segera dialokasikan dana pembangunan Kabupaten Nias Barat yang berbasis pada pemberdayaan masyarakat di pedesaan. “Kementerian PDT senantiasa berusaha memperioritaskan usulan Pemkab Nias Barat yang dirumuskan melalui seminar ini,’ kata Buchorie.

Pada seminar nasional itu tampil sebagai pembicara DR Fakhili Gulo MSi, Saderakhi Maruhawa dan Ir Angandrowa Gulo MSi dengan Moderator Ir Eta Daeli MM dan Ir Yasiduhu Gulo dan dihadiri sekira 300 orang.
Ir Abisaloni Gulo MSi dalam kata sambutannya mengatakan pelaksanaan seminar untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Nias Barat pasca pemekaran. Gema Nias Barat berharap seluruh elemen masyarakat Nias Barat menyatukan langkah untuk membangun kemandirian Nias Barat dengan membangun SDM yang berkwalitas baik untuk mengelola sumber daya alam yang dimiliki Nias Barat guna dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Untuk membangun Nias Barat harus menjauhkan perbedaan dan membangun kebersamaan untuk saling bergandengan tangan agar Nias Barat keluar dari peta kemiskinan sebagaimana dikemukakan Menteri Pemberdayaan Daerah Tertinggal.

Sementara itu DR Fakhili Gulo MSi dalam makalahnya berjudul Nias Barat SMART (Sejahtera, Mandiri, Adil, Religius dan Tertib) yang dapat dicapai melalui pendekatan BERBUAH (belajar dan berubah) dengan penerapan ekonomi DAHSYAT (dahulukan kesejahteraan rakyat) melalui pelaksanaan program. Pertama tata kelola yaitu berih, akuntabel, dan transparan pada sistem manajemen SDM, sistem manajemen keuangan dan aset, sistem manajemen data dan informasi dan sistem informasi manajemen.

Kedua, kata Fakhili, pendidikan yakni Relevansi, Kualitas dan Peluasan Akses dengan asumsi orang berpendidikan mengenal diri (potensi dan kelemahan) dan mengenal lingkungan (ancaman dan peluang). Dengan demikian mampu meningkatkan potensi dan mengurangi kelemahan untuk meraih peluang dan mengubah ancaman menjadi peluang yang dapat dilakukan dengan pendidikan dasar dan menengah yang menitikberatkan wajib belajar dengan dana dari donatur atau pemerintah. Pendidikan tinggi, siswa berprestasi wajib masuk ke perguruan tinggi, Keluarga yang tidak mampu Pemda menyediakan biaya pendidikan melalui LSM (lembaga swadaya masyarakat) dan untuk 12 tahun didukung peraturan daerah agar orangtua wajib menyekolahkan anaknya, yang berprestasi didukung oleh Pemda.

Ketiga Ekonomi DAHSYAT (dahulukan kesejahteraan rakyat) dapat dilakukan dengan penerapan teknologi tepat guna untuk mengelola hasil-hasil pertanian misalnya kelapa minyak atsiri, bioethanol, coklat, karet. Pengembangan industri pariwisata dengan menggali potensi wisata dan menjual kepada investor untuk menanam modal di Nias Barat dan pengembangan hasil laut yang merupakan komoditi terbesar kekayaan alam Nias Barat dengan memberdayakan nelayan dan menyiapkan fasilitas yang diperlukan dan dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan industri pengalengan ikan dan pengasapan ikan.

Dan yang tidak kalah penting untuk mendukung ketiga program tersebut harus disiapkan fasilitas umum yang merupakan prioritas antara lain jalan raya, air bersih, listrik guna merealisasi program yang akan diterapkan. Mudah-mudahan dengan hasil seminar ini yang sangat didukung oleh Menteri PDT menjadi pintu masuk untuk menuntaskan kabupaten Nias Barat sebagai Kabupaten tertinggal di Indonesia sebagai mana dikemukakan Deputi IV Menteri Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal, kata DR Fakhili Gulo bersemangat.

Ketua Presidium Jaringan Rakyat Memantau (Jarak Pantau) Y Restu Gulo SH pada wartawan mengatakan, pelaksanaan seminar Nasional merupakan kabanggaan tersendiri bagi Kabupaten Nias Barat yang harus dimanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin untuk mendorong peningkatan pembangunan di Kabupaten Nias Barat.
